Care Equation Ltd, founded in 1998, offers specialist consultancy and research in social and health care, and across the range of community partnerships and interfaces.

Our particular strength lies in the unusual combination of skills and experience we offer, bringing together first-rate analytical and research skills with extensive professional experience of policy and practice.

In 2007 we joined with OCSI to develop Planning4care, a demand forecasting tool developed to give local authorities tailored locally-based estimates of the numbers of older people expected to require different levels of social care support over the next twenty years, and the implications for funding and service development. Modules for mental health and for people with a learning disability were added in 2010.
